Event Manager

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Event Manager to plan, organize, and execute successful events for our company. The Event Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of event planning, including conceptualization, budgeting, logistics, vendor management, and on-site coordination. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a creative mindset to deliver memorable experiences for our clients and guests.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and execute a diverse range of events, including international concerts, culinary events, cultural celebrations, exhibitions, trade shows & Expos.
• Develop innovative event concepts, themes, and activations that resonate with target audiences and align with client objectives
• Create detailed event budgets and track expenses to ensure events are executed within budgetary constraints.
• Source and negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and venues to secure necessary services, equipment, and facilities for events.
• Coordinate event logistics, including venue setup, catering, transportation, audiovisual requirements, and guest accommodations.
• Manage event registration processes, RSVPs, and attendee communications.
• Manage event promotion and marketing efforts to drive attendance and enhance brand visibility across traditional and digital channels.
• Oversee on-site event operations to ensure smooth execution and handle any issues or emergencies that may arise.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and gather feedback to assess event success and identify areas for improvement.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance event experiences.

Key competency and skills :

• Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field.
• Proven experience of 10+ years in event planning and management, preferably in a corporate or agency setting.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Detail-oriented with a creative mindset and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
